"What Washington needs today is leadership, not more politics. We need to return America to the Constitution, and to return to the principles upon which this great country was founded.

"I believe that with your help, this campaign can do just that."

- Bernie Skoch
"We have listened to Bernie and believe he can help restore the government that Americans want and need."

- Bob & Nancy Graham
"It is necessary that a Republic government seeks the welfare of the people rather than selfish private gains that abrogate the rights of the people. Mr. Bernie Skoch has the impeccable leadership to preserve our human rights granted by a divine Being and our inalienable rights guaranteed by our Constitution, thereby preserving our freedoms. His ideas and courage exemplify the people's dream of leadership representation."

- Robert Bartlett
"We are supporting General Bernie Skoch because we know him to be a trustworthy man of his word. We believe it is time for new faces in Washington. General Skoch has served and continues to serve his country with selflessness, and we know he will represent the will of NW AR in Washington."

- Keller Family
"I support Bernie Skoch because he believes in the freedoms of all Americans and is a strong supporter of the Constitution of the United States. He is a man of integrity and has a strong compassion to do what is right for America. He is a humble man and is not afraid to take a stand for what is right. Because of his concern about the future of our country, Bernie has stepped up to the plate to run as a candidate for U. S. Congressman of the 3rd District of Arkansas. He shows us respect by listening to us. He wants our input on laws that will effect each and every one of us. His knowledge of world events, national events, state and local events is astounding. He understands what this country was built on and he wants to help restore it by controlling Big Government with it's corruption by the platform of ideas he has addressed. He has committed 29 years of his life in miltary service to our country and he has a desire to continue to serve the people of this great.state by the values and principles this country was based upon. I believe we need a man like Bernie to represent us."

- Marg Kahler
"I am supporting Bernie Skoch because he is just the kind of Congressman we need. He believes in limited government as established in the Constitution and also in reining in run away spending. He is a man of deep conviction and the integrity to hold to his values. As a retired officer, he is a man of courage with the leadership skills needed to be effective in policy making."

- Gayann Talbot
"Mr. Skoch loves his country and the Constitution. He will take that passion to Washington DC and will not tolerate corruption."

- Bill Ostendorf
"I support Bernie Skoch because I truly believe he is 'one of us'. He understands our family budget problems, concerns about our public schools, worries over healthcare reform, cap and trade, and the erosion of our constitutional rights. He understands all of these worries and concerns because he is truly one of us, not one of the many millionaire elites who are now running our country."

- Patsy Wootton
"Bernie Skoch has the experience and intelligence to tackle anything with skill; and his integrity gives me confidence that I can trust that he'll truly represent me to the very best of his ability. He's just a good person who loves America! And, I want a proven leader to help recover my country."

- Dale Strickland
"Bernie has the right balance of knowledge, leadership, and communications skills to represent ALL of us. We believe Bernie will work for ALL of us, not just SOME of us!"

- Jackie, Isaac and James Williams

Immigration has made America great. We should all take great joy in the richness of talents, skills, and energy that millions upon millions of immigrants have given our nation. Many of us are who we are because of immigration. My very mother immigrated from Czechoslovakia, and both my father's parents were from Europe. Most of us can trace our ancestry only a few generations back to immigrants.

But illegal immigration is a problem with tremendous direct, indirect, and social costs. It has put tremendous burdens on social programs and has been identified as a source of significant crime and other problems in many regions of America.

In the following pages, I will outline the seriousness of the illegal immigration problem. I will then outline five specific initiatives we should pursue to remedy the problem.

We can solve illegal immigration. We must solve illegal immigration.

Our Veterans have given us the freedoms we enjoy, security from harm, and are arguably the reason we continue to exist as a free nation.

Unfortunately, our Veterans are suffering from the burdens of their service. We as a nation owe it to them to honor our commitments in helping them overcome the challenges brought on by those burdens.

In the next few pages I will briefly deal with just two of the many issues that burden far too many Veterans: Homelessness and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

I will briefly outline:

  • How pervasive Veteran homelessness is
  • How many Veterans are afflicted with PTSD

I will conclude by offering six specific common-sense initiatives that need to be pursued—and that I will pursue—to honor our commitments to our Veterans in overcoming these challenges.
